Your Journal Chapter 9
I observed my math professor make a bad speech. The introduction lacked interest, therefore I did not have the intent to listen to the rest of the speech. The poor introduction threw off the rest of the speech. As I watched the speech flop, I felt like telling my professor to start from the beginning again. For future speaking challenges, I would start off with a attention grabbing intro, then emphasize from there.

Im not at risk for plagiarism. I rephrase the writer's original sentence including my own opinion on the topic. Therefore, putting the original sentence in my own words does not put me at risk for plagiarism.

Library Tour
MLK Library TOur I thought the library tour was very informational. It could have been shortened and still provided us with the same amount of information. The tour provided me with many new resources that im now aware of at SJSU. I also got to get my library card which i didnt know i needed one. I believe the library tour is a great way for freshmen to find out about the resources available to them. I would like to thank the professor who came out and took the time to teach and explain us many different things.

Chapter 3 Know Yourself
I tend to spend alot of time at my friends place because of the fact that there is no air conditioning in Joe West and it gets really hot in there sometimes.
I spend too little time on studying and homework but i dont really get much homework so it works out.
Next week i will spend more time on blogging and reading a little bit for my english class.
Next week i might spend a little bit less time sleeping cuz i do alot of that too

Problem - I tend to watch too much football
Solution - I do not need to have a solution for this problem because of the fact that i watch football mostly on weekends and because i always finish my homework on time or before i watch football

Pacific Islander Workshop
I attended the two hour long pacific islander workshop. it was a great experience. i got to meet new people and learned about new resources available on campus for students to use. They had a great performance with different types of dances and served everybody food at the end of the workshop. At the workshop i was provided with alot of knowledge about SJSU and surviving the good years to come at SJSU. I strongly recommend for everybody to attend this workshop.
SJSU Football Game
So yesterday, i attended the school football game against UTAH. For the first half, it was one of the best games i have seen thus far in my life. Then the Spartans decided to get lazy and started missing tackles that should have been made. The offense was good, but our defense was strong. They held us in the game for a long time, but if the offense doesnt score or give defense enough time to rest, they are gonna get tired and start to struggle. So yeah, this was a good game yesterday but im looking forward to next week against Stanford. Go SPARTANS!!!

Know Yourself
I know myself very well. i am very much aware of the resources and knowledge that surrounds me. Here at SJSU, I'm looking forward to get to know myself a little better and acquiring new information.

Since starting college, many different changes have occurred in my life. From living away from home to getting used to a completely different environment than high school, many things have changed. The greatest part of this part of my life is freedom. Being away from home makes me more responsible and more of an individual than being dependent on others.

My First Week
